The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education is pleased to announce that updates in two higher education analytics resources are now live:
Merit and Non-Merit Aid Factbook
- Updated to include 2024-25 data and revised 2023-24 data.
- Combines CHE Management Information System (CHEMIS) and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data with student-level and institution-level demographic details to track trends in merit and non-merit scholarships from 2010 to 2024.
- Includes detailed information on funds distribution by specific metrics, award counts and award amounts, in-state tuition, and cost of attendance.
- Created to help policymakers, educators, and the public understand how state and institutional financial aid supports South Carolina students.
Academic Programs and Career Clusters Dashboard
- Updated with 2024-25 academic program inventory data.
- Using CHEMIS program inventory data dating back to 1992.
- Provides a comprehensive and interactive view of academic programs by institution, career clusters, and geographic location.
- Supports data-informed decision-making and deeper exploration of how South Carolina’s colleges and universities align with economic and educational priorities across the state.
- Helps institutional leaders, policymakers, and other stakeholders better understand the relationship between higher education programs and the workforce.
These resources reflect CHE’s ongoing commitment to transparency and informed decision making in support of higher education.
