Hurricane Helene has had significant impacts on higher education across the state.

We will continue update the information below to reflect all closings and delays reported to us from public institutions of higher education in South Carolina.

Francis Marion University

9/27: Delayed until 10:30 a.m.

Lander University

Closed 9/27. Campus will remain closed to students and non-essential personnel until 10/6. Essential personnel should work with supervisors to determine when they should report this week. Residence halls will reopen for students to return on Sunday, Oct. 6. Classes resume with virtual, asynchronous instruction on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11. Offices reopen for faculty and staff on Wednesday, Oct. 9

Medical University of South Carolina

USC Columbia
